Opening Up To Each Other

do you remember –
how we would open up to each other?
all those years ago
when we were together
and although i am scared to say it
part of me remains quite fond
do you remember –
how we would open up to each other?
i cannot believe those days have gone
and now,
when i see you,
and you look so down
i want to make it so much better
i just you to wake up and smile
do you remember –
how we would open up to each other?
we have all gotten so much older
and all of us have changed
those far flung days
feel almost insane
and we never believed it would get any better
just a dose of sea salt and pain
do you remember –
how we would open up to each other?
