i am overwhelmed by thoughts and ideas
and i stand,
in a constant deluge of unanswered questions

the right people are the joy
it is them –
who are the surgeons
the ones to mend your heart

my bones,
need warmth
my hope needs pushing
and love needs you

i was, ‘mental’, anyway
it prepared me well
for when life decided –
not to charge admission to enter hell

i am frazzled
you know the feeling
the one,
that never seems to be leaving

what if i stopped…
just got off…
what if i no longer –
wished to carry on

remember,
when your mental health was a mess
when you took it to bed
and subjected it to your youthful caress

can’t you see what is happening –
to the world around you
it looks like you are too busy –
protecting your borders

it is always awkward being me
whilst others –
have aspired and perspired
just to reach an unknown top
