i have been fortunate
and the hardest work
i have ever undertaken
is on me,

and that reflection,
well eventually, it weighs upon me
and i feel parts of my mind stretched
it is east to feel blame or shame
you can easily forget, easily forget everything
back when, it was all so complex

some people clearly face a challenge
to define who they are
identity is complex
identity is a complex
and words need context

media institutions
jump into action
not to tell us anything new
but to manage the narrative

i could not
fashion weapons
or useful swords
as i made rope baskets
from electric cords

and you needed super beings
but,
you got flesh and blood
and maybe
they were not good enough x

have you seen this post –
it is absolutely true
but, hold on… it is just an opinion
someone’s point of view

people fall prey
to the sexy lure of simplicity
it,
fucks with their prejudices
and leaves them wanting more

i could give you the answers
but,
are they the answers –
that you want to hear?

to the seriousness of others
