My Beautiful Imperfections

my imperfections
have become my own crown jewels
my fatal flaws
have become the handles
to so many mind doors
and my funny ways
are the pebbles on my shore
i try to change
and I try to be better
but I caught fate hiding in my room
they had left me a letter
i cannot reveal what it said
but when I decoded it, It appeared to indicate;
that you are a long time dead
my imperfections
no longer tie me to life’s bed
i just shrug my shoulders
and I shake my head
my fatal flaws
are no longer even the punch line
they are the comedic pause.
