They Will Rebel
they will rebel
once the blanket is removed
and the truth we tell –
stops being a murmur
and matures into a yell
they will rebel
imposed labels
designed to ease pain
cause people to sigh
at their new found news
they will rebel
and leave the cold
as they grow
and as they get old
they are not toys
they not the comfort
for the home made cell
they will rebel
