On The Cliff Edge
i will sit down here
i am so nervous
catch my breath
i have built my dreams
on a cliff edge
but the sea does not intrude
i dive in,
and i do not lose
i will sit down here
with brave heart
and dusty humour
my heartbeat is more than a murmur
but the jokes
are only a rumour
on this beautiful cliff edge
i gaze out to sea
i gaze out at the horizon
and reflect on me
