Rough and Tumble

lately
it feels like
i can do no right
i have taken the rough and tumble
of other peoples views
that is why
i hang onto you
what else can i do
those with their so called perfect lives
i know they are there
just sharpening their knives

lately
it feels like
every decision i make is wrong
that all i do is good intention
but it upsets someone
and there is nothing
not a thing i can do
that is why
i hang onto you
my defences are low
i can fear every hole
but i know you will get it
