Are You Surprised To See Me?

who do you think you are?
you obviously have an angle on me
with your close knit friends
don’t you like the stitch i weave
with a drink in your hand
you turn on me with a vacant stare
you point at me
who do you think you are?
so you are surprised to see me in this venue
in this this tacky place
well, my wide eyed companion
make that mind think
make it wide.
if you are surprised to see me here
then i surprised to meet you in this life
who do you think you are?
let down by expectations
your job, your partner and your clothes
i am let down by your reaction
who do you think you are?
someone special in a designer frame
well i hang your paintings
and your make-up smudged again
