The Picture Remains the Same

i have not changed
other opinion
is just a frame
the picture,
remains the same
the picture of a landscape
under a pastel sky
leads me down a well worn path
and i do not know why

the picture
remains the same
the portrait of a figure
seated upon a high backed chair
it leads me down a well worn path
and i wonder why i am there

i have not changed
other opinion
is just a frame
the picture remains the same
a group shot
with its arms trying not to share
other opinion
just ties me to the heated chair
