I Need to Be Softer Inside

hill,
makes these legs hurt
up it
up it
trying to reach a top
a destination
but will the climb ever stop
hill
it is true
but it is tiring
motivation expiring
lost
lost
lost
i give and give
not perfect
but this now, is how i live
i still have questions
maybe
i need to be softer inside
or meaningful about –
every plaintive cry
hill
hill, such a hill
and,
this is how i feel
