Flag
for a while
i connected with someone
but they have to go
some people invade you
and plant a flag
some you fight to the end
and they leave you feeling sad
for a while
we took to the floor
and danced to a joint smile
easily unlocking doors
and travelling many miles
but they have to go
and it is such a shame
because i like them
and i do not want to find
that it is too little too late
i connected with someone
but they have to go

Flag – Written Wednesday 16th September 2009 (Aged 34)

I don’t know why this one has me feeling so emotionally. Maybe it’s because we’ve come to truly understand what it means to connect with someone? or at least we don’t connect with people like that anymore, even though we “connect” with strangers everyday.
anyways beautiful as always
