Nearly Three Years
nearly three years
the tears
still find me
and my heart –
still consumes me
but i am held up –
by the strength of your arms
which are scaffold
to accompany your charms
i am lucky to have such a love
such a hold and touch
i try not think –
what would she say now
through her gritted –
false teeth
her wings were sometimes –
hard to find
but i knew they were underneath
death.. so cruel,
yet so natural
and when the quilt of life –
is patched together
death is always there
