Destination to Destiny
flying out of here
leaving behind,
leaving behind so much
so much pain
even at my age
reduced to tears
by people,
too selfish to care
flying out of my home
and making my way,
making my way towards you
today you are my destination
will –
destination turn to destiny?
what lies in store for you and me
i am nearly with you
not long to go now
flown out of my home
flown but not alone
i am a pauper king
with an airfix throne
and a head full of sunken dreams
but i am not on my own
that is the nature of human beings
we hate to be alone
