Thinking About You

i do not want to hurt you
i want to be true
i have not stopped –
thinking about you
it is so long –
since i have felt like this
self contained bliss
i want you to care
to know that i can be there
to scare your demons away
thinking about you today
i have done nothing else
just thought about yourself,
love is a freak
with no direction and clumsy feet
it always trips and falls
where we wander in despair
because we cannot see anyone there
but that is not true
i think about you
