Colourful Merry-go-Round
one more drink for a weary head
the brain barely awake
it would not even drag me out of bed
think i will sit here
and watch the world go by
as i go up –
sometimes up and sometimes down
waiting for the hands to push me
on this colourful merry-go-round
one more drink for a shaky hand
and an aching back
i am looking to build up a head of steam
but first i must lay the track
think i will sit here –
latching onto this lazy day
one more drink to wash the day away
