The Second, The Moment, The Hour
good times come around
but love does not come in a box
it is just the same as the future
it does not have wrapping,
which conceals chocolate
love does not come in a bunch –
of freshly arranged flowers
because love is not prearranged
it seizes the second, the moment, the hour
good times come around
in decking shoes and strange socks
knocking on your door
with its charity box
love does not lease your insecurity
because if it does,
it is not really love
it’s just wearing the clothes
and it feels like a rainy shower
love is not prearranged gestures
it seizes the second, the moment, the hour
