Molly’s Child – Written August 2002 (Aged 27)

Molly Child’s

molly’s child –
wears the rags of a doll
feels for the world
and finds the cold
today i am distant
trying to clear the fog
all i find is molly’s child
walking her dog
i have to kneel down
i have to ask
do you understand the anger
she moves away –
because all this is a dream
and i need to find my hunger
molly’s child
she came to me
because i am searching
for a person to repair my walls
because they have been breached
and it is all so cold
molly’s child
she is just an angel in rags
if i could touch the gleam
you know i would be so glad
