I Try to Cry More – Written Tuesday 27th December 2011 (Aged 36)

I Try to Cry More

i was watching a comedy
when i cried
and i thought,
as i have on many occasions lately
that i should cry much more
but a determined pragmatic approach
has quickly encroached
and it has decided to stay
but it does not mean the pain goes away
the worry, the concern
still, the tears collected on my cheeks
in amongst a lovely crease
somehow, perhaps, it was a release
i have tried to cry
when others are not around
and it is not the most classic sound
it feels private,
even if i know it truly shows
numbness and weakness do not go
