Society Will Judge Us
society will judge us –
on the positions we hold
and as people,
muddle through the prozac maze
juggling the billboards
that advertise what they try to save
the judge, the queen, the bishop
the king, the queen and the knave
you have to be strong and find –
inner courage with colours of the brave
all you can do is swing in the hammer –
in the furnace next to the lathe
James Garratt – January 2012
