An Ambivert’s Tale
i do not want to join in
sorry,
it’s just not my thing
do not put me in fancy dress
or ask me to sing
do not enter me into competitions
i do not need to win
sorry,
it’s just not my thing
i am self propelled
i do not want to join in
sorry,
it is not my thing
i know it can be fun
but forced fun is not my kind of living
i am not a skilled loner
but nor am i an expert joiner
i do not want to join in
sorry,
it’s not my thing
i will decide when i’ll say
what it is i need to say
i will decide when to be a social butterfly
and that will always be my way
