Kicking Off Your Shoes
others break you
and,
never clear up the mess
who fixes –
the broken –
the brokenhearted
those never started
others wander in
and,
they break down
and quickly claim –
as one hand reaches out
whilst the other is insane
you went in –
and kicked off your shoes
you broke everything
have you the glue
because it’s not enough –
to exclaim –
my lifetime has been a lifetime
of toil and pain
