Dreaming of Houses
dreaming of houses
the sort,
that we would like to own
ones where the fireplace roars
and the empty walls,
do not make you feel alone
and i have to ask,
am i just a machine,
the sort that is designed to engineer –
other peoples dreams
one to be held up against the light
so my amber has no imperfections
even if they be only slight
i cannot not your dreams happen
no, not on my own
if it is up to other people,
it will always be a disappointment
