Assigning Values

i cannot believe
that oppression
and discrimination
is the answer
and that is the situation
that we find ourselves in
people do not recognise
their own values
or even their own bias
and they do not understand
the difference –
between a problem
and a symptom
a symptom is a problem
that will suit a belief system
and we assume –
every progressive person
or every wronged group
must be a genius
or has absolute rights
around certain situations
i cannot believe
that oppression
and discrimination
is the answer
