I Am Glad I Said It

i thought about it
i should have said it before
i should have stood up earlier
i wanted to say it
you made me do it
and i offer no apologies
no change for obscenities
i was advised to do it
but you should not have to do it
should be able to treat people with respect
should not need to get angry
and blow on a saturday,
heading into sunday
i am glad i said it
it is about time you knew
i really think it is
everyone says that i deserve better
they are glad i did it
i am glad i cut out the letter
and just said it straight
those words were well timed
they were in now way ever late
i am feeling better for it
i am glad i said it
