Close Again
tired eyes run to a bed
lay down,
and try to sleep
but, when dreams arrive
they boil up the anxiety inside
last night,
i dreamt we were friends again
that we were close again
and you were living in –
a version of a flat you had once lived in
upstairs was your best friend
but it was just a dream
and i just watched you from afar
in the morning i wake up
and my head was aching
we are no longer close
and tired eyes have dragged me on
lights either shine –
or they have shone
i am no longer around you and that does hurt
especially when we were so young
when our closeness begun
