Occupiers Of The Castle
the occupiers of the castle
have,
pulled up the drawbridge
so,
they could all have a feast
the moral vault is bankrupt
ethics are cheap
do let them tell us –
that morality is expensive
they all prove –
that corruption has become a norm
but it does not have to be –
the only way to live
the occupiers of the castle
have,
valued us as being cheap
the top toff
has spoilt their seat
and the intelligence at court –
remains incomplete
let’s take back the power
that we lose so much
each and every hour
they do nothing for us
as they continue to misuse power
and do nothing to earn our trust
