When It Seems To Really Matter
the cracks in my make-up
are too obvious today
the crazy ramblings
show that i have paid
paid for a past
that took away the castle
and gave me a hut on a marsh
unsteady ground
unsteady feet
so much insecurity
so hard to find the self belief
fight on
don’t be defeatist
how can i feel like this?
the cracks are too obvious
and i feel ashamed
because when it comes to the crunch
when it seems to really matter
i seem to fail
let me go so that i can re-apply my smile
