Words of Devotion – Written Wednesday 11th February 2004 (Aged 28)

Words of Devotion

i could give you flowers
but i would rather give you my time
all of my hours
i could tell you over and over
how much you mean to mean
and although,
i know flowers,
can be a gesture from the heart
at least with time and hours
i could make a start
i could take my feelings
and try to pull them apart
just to explain my feelings
but how could i put it into words
words would only be a failing
but believe me,
flowers and a card,
would not be a gesture from my heart
however real words,
of devotion and happiness are
so much that you mean to me
so much that i cannot mention
but you must believe you have my
my full and undivided attention
