Bonds Do Not Grow on Trees
they will never know
about the hand that reached out
and tried to take theirs
they will never see it
and they never would have seen it
even when it was right there
right there in front of them
and it is true,
bonds do not grow on trees
and all the love in the world
can be quickly lost on your knees
but they will never know
