Are You Honest?

are you honest?
were you honest with him –
when you were with him?
were you being honest
when you were –
spending more time with me?
were you honest with yourself
when we spent all night drinking
pouring out your,
‘heart and soul’
sitting there across the table
holding my hands
and now you pretend –
that the night never took place
are you honest?
or is honesty just too much?
