Running From the Crowd- Written February 2016 (Aged 40)

Running From the Crowd

it must be clearer
the lake bed i see
the waves,
over you and me
the tides,
that change our seas
we are the fools
but we are just children
from the crowd
hand in hand
far away from over there
where the blankets and the clouds
dangle in such heavy air
it must be clearer,
than the black skies i encounter
the colours we see
i guess it is up to you and me
hand in hand,
running from the crowd
let our love always speak aloud
