Winter Skies – Written Monday 9th November 2015 (Aged 40)

Winter Skies

shape of dreams
so readily spun
darkness captures my evening
so young in this particular year
you can,
scapegoat your trepidation
with some tinsel of fear
you can,
place rough steps over the autumn leaves
the shape of hope in the distance
vivid in its clouds
when i look,
the winter skies speak aloud
