Pictures on Paper Cups
when we first met –
i used to draw pictures –
on your paper cup
that was when –
we worked in the same place
i can remember your face
so young, we were so young
i still think about you
the friend who got away
when we lived together
and when we shared our days
so young, we were so young
and though –
it is so long since we spoke
so long since we cared –
or had to care
part of me, part of my heart
is always there
do you remember –
all those years ago
when we missed the train
and then when we –
started to go our separate ways
we may have left those days
but you have never left me
days of fun and days of touch
days of drawing pictures –
on your paper cup
