Measuring Scales – Written Saturday 7th May 2022 (Aged 47)

Measuring Scales

i have always –
over estimated the weight of responsibility
maybe it has something to do with volume
or maybe it has something to do with capacity
maybe i could not imagine my shoulders as a child
maybe i should have tamed my imagination
instead of just letting it grow so wild

i have always –
over estimated the weight of responsibility
but i feel it –
and in many ways i feel it keenly
maybe it something to do with volume
or maybe it is something to do with capacity
but whatever the nature of actual burden
it becomes a solid reality

i have always –
over estimated the weight of responsibility
but if feel it –
as something rigid and as a solid fear
one that despite it’s volume or capacity
never truly becomes fully clear
maybe the views of other was soaked in the basin –
of others peoples shameful tears
