Staring
people stare, people speak
their souls worn –
on lonely streets
people hunger,
they move with a look of desire
they collide
they explode
they reach in with claw like hands
but they never really know
i walk along the pavement
a feast for their hungry eyes
are they thinking of confrontation
best confront me when i die
people lunge,
they lumber down roads
so many look on,
so few will be close
