Left to Wonder – Written Saturday 6th January 2001 (Aged 25)

Left to Wonder

i found today easier and i wonder
if every day is a pill to swallow
then today at least,
it was not so bitter
i still thought of you
and i think i always will
the thoughts will always be wandering
i am just waiting for the time
they change to wondering
today i felt more positive
looking at things without dreams
i have kept all this inside
and i’ve carried on much the same
what is the point of shouting
what would there to be gain
i found today easier
and it found me with a little optimism
i know that some days it’s the wide open spaces
but sometimes it is a prison
