Citizen of Nowhere
where do i belong today
am i just half way
between here and there
i am a citizen of nowhere
a person of considerable care
but change interrogates me
and i am laid bare
my previous experiences
hangs around me like a chain
but i am chained to this change
where do i belong today
they talked at me
and a piece of hair hung down
i am sure,
they knew i had been found
but what ifs are not a foundation
and never that sound
as i remain a citizen of nowhere
a person with creativity to share
tracked down as i am now,
to this unknown lair
