Remembering
remember,
when your mental health was a mess
when you took it to bed
and subjected it to your youthful caress
remember,
being all fingers and thumbs
remember being young
remember being unemployed
all those female friends
and being under deployed
remember,
when your emotions skated on thin ice
when you clung onto them
and yet, you never thought twice
remember,
when your mental health was a mess
and caught in a tangible vice
remember,
when you were all bust
and every late night,
was drowned in youthful lust
and the reality exposed in the sunlight
quickly turn to familiar rust
remember,
remember all those delusions and illusions
