Ambition
i distrust naked ambition
feels like,
an unlabelled condition
one,
for which,
there is not cure
maybe power and status
holds a special lure
people who want status
seems okay
but then the foundations
always sail away
it is one more brick
for them to lay
a different day
one,
where only personal need
has a say
i distrust ambition
or at least,
the wantonness of it
and when displayed
i actually makes me quite afraid
such need for status
comes on like a steaming tirade
what is it,
that makes them feel unmade
