History
history –
is like a book you have never read
a place that you have never been
or a life you have never lead
a place of stolen dreams,
the hopes that were never fed
history –
is a a view
that someone else once held
scrap metal
that you can no longer weld
a love,
which you once held
history –
is like a tablet too easily taken
one with side effects
that give you a special token
a belief in falsehoods
believing that there is only one nation
history –
is like a world you never knew
an obtuse triangle
with an acute point of view
a page never turned
and history,
it is every lesson that we never learned
