You Just Laugh

i tell you that you are beautiful
but you just laugh
you consign the demons to the past
i saw you lift the lid
and i told you,
you are amazing
an amazing thing
consigning all my past to the bin
i tell you that you are beautiful
but you just laugh
and the laughter makes me like you more
for a man so hesitant,
i have never been so sure
if we succeed,
it will be beautiful
if we fail,
then it will be the saddest thing
i tell you how i feel
and i feel like a child
and that i am sixteen all over again
but you give me peace
i tell you that you are beautiful
but you just laugh
