I Had To Let Go – Written Tuesday 17th June 2001 (Aged 26)

I Had To Let Go

i had to let go,
you know,
i had to let it go
because i had wrestled with the pain
and i peered shyly,
as it was washed down the drain
i had to let it go,
you know,
my head was spinning
and you know,
nothing was winning
and as much as you might be scared
you can’t help but get older
and change should make you warm
not colder
so i had to let go,
you know
i had to let it go
