Home Elsewhere – Written March 2014 (Aged 39)

Home Elsewhere

i have found home elsewhere
i thought victorian buildings would cradle me
i thought edwardian houses would design my grave
i thought this was my place
love to hate or hate to love
at least it was a jolly day out with little fuss
it is funny how our lives change
when i first met you all those years ago
how could i have ever predicted such sunshine
when there has been,
such rain, such events, such change
once we were simply children making dens
but now i have found home elsewhere

James Garratt – March 2014
