Never Say Never
never say never
because to me –
the world does not stack up
i agree,
that it is round
expectations are too much
i am dragged down
by the lightest touch
never day never
never say no to a relationship
stolen ships and lost looks
never say never
to responsibility or bricks and mortar
the ticking of time,
or the hangman’s daughter
never say never
and never expect the doorbell –
to ring on time
of for me to arrive at the well
waiting for your chime
never say never
i am as stupid as stupid can be
and as clever,
as the not so clever can see
never say never
