I Sailed His Boat
i crawled on my hands and knees
sailed his boat on stormy seas
i cradled her fable and never let go
i took chances when it appeared closed
i crawled through alleyways
in darkness and illogical rain
i meekly pretended it was okay
and that i knew his name
even though there was terror
i came out of the womb
and into a tomb,
only to wonder why
i thought we had to live before we died
i crawled on my hands and knees
sailed his boat on stormy seas
i did all i could just to please
