Rusting Away
deep inside you are rusting away
it’s those tears
the ones not shown on the surface
the ones that run deep inside
and the ones,
that eat away at your life
like a tin man rusting away
too tired to fight
too tired to put things right
rusting away today
those tears that run deep inside
have caused so much corrosion
how things do change
but beware of life changing erosion
it can get you at any point
and on any day
the eyes,
they do go down
and i know that you are rusting away
