I Don’t like Goodbyes

i don’t like goodbyes
especially when it seems –
i have hardly had time to say hello
i hate to go
before i have hardly spent any time there
i hate it when another person
doesn’t know how much you care
and you know you cannot say a thing
because you’d feel a fool standing there
it would seem like a crush
you feel so sad
i don’t like goodbyes
not before the person care for –
fully realises i am there
but they hardly know
i don’t like goodbyes
not before it seems –
i have hardly had time to say hello
