head pounding like a drill,
solid oak knees
and a bowl to fill

people who want status
seems okay
but then the foundations
always sail away

we snuggle up to authority
and enjoy,
being told what to do

you can board a ship
and find me on an ocean
you can be found in my place
causing a revelatory commotion

institutions only exist
so that they can reinforce their influence
and they only exist to reinforce their power
never has it been about equality

i shot an arrow –
which pierced a dream
just as i built a rope swing
that hung from an oak beam

there is no discussion
only medieval pageantry and trumpets
