Sadness to Mend – Tuesday 1st March 2011

Sadness to Mend

what sort of life is it
people are stepping stones
on to the next,
just to avoid being alone
i am ashamed to say,
i have lived it
and forged it –
over the bastard anvil
and i do not like –
the way it makes me feel
it sounds like freedom
i have seen married eyes envious
but it is just chains
shackled to a search
that just causes pain
beaten with the birch,
what sort of life is it,
working through people
searching for gems,
when in fact, we all shine
a sadness to mend
i am ashamed to say it
but i have lived it
and now, as i reel in confusion
i am starting to realise –
just how much, it is not my solution
