You Make Me Laugh
you make me laugh
talking about the past
kids eating monster munch
you make think back
eating mother prepared packed lunches
growing up and dividing out
girls dispensing of their bunches
like television detectives
we still have hunches
driving around, coming home late
everyone left hanging around
they can only wait
to be part of a crowd
you make me laugh
now many things seem to have passed
it is never a flowing thing
it is always stop and start
you never get to where you are going
and when you get there,
it is not where you intended to be
everyone acting strangely
because it is so hard
i am glad you are there
you make me laugh
